JEROME WILSON - Head Kickboxing Instructor, Personal Trainer Jerome is a competitive Muay Thai Fighter. He is a 2 Time USAWKF National Sanshou Bronze Medalist,1999 2000, Light Heavy and Middle Weight, and in the WKA Nationals took 2nd Place in the Light Heavy Weight Division 2004. Jerome also was an WAKO National Competitor Light Heavy Weight 2nd place in 2006. Jerome has trained with Top Muay Instructors:
Kru Vut Kamnark, Kru Sakasem, Ajarn Surachi Sirisute, Thai Boxing Association USA, Master Toddy Las Vegas, Walter "Sleeper" Michalowski.

When Jerome is not instructing kickboxing or Muay Thai at LA Boxing, you will find him training for and competing in Muay Thai and MMA events. Jerome is also available for personal training.

SERGIO PACHECO - Kickboxing Instructor, Personal Trainer This picture captures Sergio hanging out with former UFC lightweight Champion Jens Pulver after a 3 hour MMA training seminar. Sergio is an undergrad in Finance at George Mason University. He is extremely passionate about health and fitness. He is an adrenaline junkie who is always looking for a new challenge to test his limits. Sergio has trained in MMA at the Chantilly and Arlington locations. He hopes to gain experience and knowledge from the other instructors as he starts competing more in MMA competitions. (Habla español.)
PAUL SANCHEZ - Boxing Instructor Paul was born and raised in San Antonio, TX. Upon graduating from Texas Tech University’s financial planning program, he moved to the Northern Virginia area where he has lived for over 10 years. His career as a financial planner has led to his founding of Sanchez & Zures, LLC which offers fee-based financial planning, portfolio management, and tax preparation services for individuals. Paul’s other passion with the fitness and sporting industry led him to LA Boxing and he looks forward to encouraging others towards their fitness goals.

Paul enjoys playing golf and volunteering his time to various youth groups. He has been a dedicated small group leader for his church and has coached youth basketball for Arlington county recreational leagues.
RYAN LEE - Kickboxing Instructor, Personal Trainer Ryan Lee is an native of Tennessee and joins the L.A. Boxing Team by way of Florida. He has trained for over 15 years and is a 4th degree blackbelt in Taekwondo, a 1st degree blackbelt in Small Circle Jujitsu, a certified Kru Dan in Muay Thai, a certified boxing instructor with the U.S. Boxing Association, a certified Krav Maga instructor,a certified NASM personal trainer, a certified yoga instructor, and a certified pilates instructor. He is also a professional fighter that has fought in several venues including the WCL or World Combat League. Plus, Ryan Lee has had the privelage of training great athletes such as Tim Tebow (quarterback of the Florida Gators) and Vijay Singh (PGA Golf Pro). Ryan is very excited to be a part of the L.A. Boxing Team and is looking to the future.
TERRANCE "Rawhide" WOOD - Boxing Instructor After a career ending injury to a promising football career in 1986, Terrance was introduced to the sport of boxing. Terrance had a stellar amateur career coming in as a runner-up for Golden Glove in 1987. Terrance then won the Golden Glove in 1988 and also captured and ABF( Amateur Boxing Federation) Championship in the Middleweight catergory. Terrance went on to have 44 amateur bouts with 2 defeats. Terrance then left boxing to further his education and joined the military. After a medical discharge from military, Terrance returned to boxing but this time as a professional.Terrance then left Washington, DC for Florida and became part of the training camp with Hector Camacho. From there he went to Pensacola, FL and fought under card featuring Roy Jones, Jr. Terrance made his Washington, DC debut at the " Million Man Fight", which was the eve of the historic "Million Man March", with a first round knock-out. After a hard felt blow from being mismanaged Terrence changed hisd focus and started instructing the Prince George's Boxing Team! Terrance has now found a new home in which to pass on his professional training. LA BOXING!
CHRIS TYRE - Kickboxing Instructor AS A TWO TIME NATIONAL MUAY THAI CHAMPION, CHRIS SIMPLY ENJOYS THE SPIRIT OF COMPETITION.
HE STARTED KICKBOXING BACK IN 1998 WHILE SERVING IN THE UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS.
A MUAY CHIYA PRACTITONER, MUAY CHAIYA SPECIALIZES IN BLOCKING WITH THE ELBOWS
AND KNEES. CHRIS HAS FOUGHT UNDER VARIOUS MUAY INSTUCTORS SUCH AS

Ajarn Chacrit Phukijnonnuplong and Kru Samarat Phetin . Chris an Arling ton native and is
happy to be here at LA BOXING.
CALEB BALL - MMA/Grappling Instructor Caleb Ball is a professional and very active International Mixed Martial
Arts fighter. He comes to us from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. While
growing up, wrestling was his passion, as he competed for twelve years.
One week after September 11th, 2001 Caleb withdrew from his college,
resigned from his job, and joined the U.S. Army. He spent five years in
the U.S. Army where he completed Airborne School, Air Assault School,
and two combat deployments to Iraq. He also completed a one year tour
in Korea where he was the champion of the All Korea Wrestling
Tournament. After serving his country, Caleb decided to settle in
Arlington where he is currently contracting for the Department of
Defense. His twelve years of wrestling experience, combined with his
military combatives training and his Kickboxing/Muay Thai training, have
set him up for success when fighting in the cage, and when instructing
LA Boxing students. Caleb has competed in Mixed Martial Arts events in
the United States of America, Dominican Republic, Panama, and Brazil.
He hopes to continue to work hard and rack up wins in his professional
fighting career.
NITHIPONG "JACK" PITHAKWONG - Muay Thai/Thai Boxing Instructor Nithipong "Jack" was born and raised in Thailand where he trained and competed in Thai Boxing. Jack spent five years as a trainer-in-residence at JittiGym (jittigym.com) in Bangkok, Thailand. Once of Jack's accomplishments as a trainer was training Niamh Griffen, the first female to win a title (intercontinental featherweight Title Fight) in Muay Thai. Jack's goal at LA Boxing is to be a personal trainer in Muay Thai for our members who want to just be student of the Thai art or who want to become a Thai Boxing athlete.

CLAIRE TART - Budokon Instructor Claire began training under Cameron Shayne creator of Budokon in 2008. With over 250 hours of extensive training and testing she received her certification to teach in 2009. As an instructor she offers her students the opportunity to enjoy a combination of exploring Zen meditation to open the mind, yogic movements to stretch the muscles, enhance flexibility and balance, and martial art techniques to give the body and mind a cardio fitness workout that is sure to bring the beginner and novice athletic members the type of workout they desire from an instructor.

Claire also continues to train in the Washington, DC area with other certified Budokon instructors as well as with Cameron Shayne at headquarters located in Charlotte, NC.
ANTONIO "Starchild" REESE - Boxing Instructor, Personal Trainer Antonio was born and raised in Washington, DC and began boxing at the age of 9. Over the years he established an amateur boxing career of 185 fights and was a 5 time national Golden Glove winner as well as a 3 time ABF champion. As a professional fighter, "Starchild" fought 22 fights around the world representing the DC area with a large fan base supporting him. He has trained alongside world class fighters such as Julio Cesar Chavez, Frankie Randall, and Simon Brown. Currently, Starchild is devoted to teaching the techniques and skills of boxing to children and adults. Whether you are looking to get in shape or begin to fight, group classes or private sessions with "Starchild" will motivate, challenge, and prepare you to reach your fitness goals.
SIMBA SANA - Boxing Instructor, Personal Trainer Born, raised and still residing in Washington DC, Simba Sana started boxing at the age of 12. He boxed sporadically as an amateur fighter until attending Mount Saint Mary’s University where he established a boxing club. After graduating he continued boxing eventually becoming a sparring partner for several local professional fighters. He also managed the career of super middleweight Beethavean “Bee” Scottland for several years and is currently managing another super middleweight, Oliver Musampa. His daughter, Layla, was introduced to boxing at an early age and he is looking forward to introducing the sport to his two sons, Jimmie and Kobi. Simba is the former owner of Karibu Books and is currently writing a spiritual memoir, All About Love, to be published by Agate in 2011.
Simba started running cross country in college and is still an avid runner. He ran in the 33rd Annual Marine Corps Marathon (2008) and plans to race every year. Simba is excited about doing group training with L.A. Boxing members in an effort to help galvanize their physical, mental, and spiritual development.
