Miguel's Story
In July of 2006, I ruptured my Achilles tendon playing basketball, and in the six months after having my Achilles surgically repaired, my weight ballooned up to 216 pounds. By the summer of 2008, my conditioning was horrible and I had a second minor surgery on my Achilles tendon in July of 2008.
My teenage daughter was looking for a way to stay physically fit, so in August of 2008, I started taking my daughter to LA Boxing twice per week. About one month in, I started slowly taking a class 1 to 2 times per week with her. I had avoided all high-impact activities up to this point, but I knew I had to do something to get back in shape. Initially, I was unable to perform all the drills in class, but the instructors are great at helping you tailor each exercise to “what you can do.” I noticed that the flexibility and strength in my leg increased dramatically each week, and I was able to push myself a little farther each week in the workout.
In February 2009, I started going to LA Boxing 5 to 6 times per week. In the past 8 months alone, I have lost 20 pounds and four inches off my waist. I have lost a total of 34 pounds since I reached my heaviest weight of 216. I feel great, I have fun working out, and the instructors are incredible.
Hillary's Story

Once upon a time. There was a fat girl named HILLARY. She had no idea she was fat until, she lost weight. Then looking back on old pictures she realized how fat she was and got a little sad. But in the end she was Happy she found such a great GYM! LA BOXING classes pushed her ( in a good way ) to lose weight and be the hot momma she could be. Her journey to success has only begun with only being there 3 months and dropping fat and gaining muscle. Her stomach is smaller and her legs are toned thanks to Reece's and James' many different types of squats and sit ups. Now instead of a fat girl named Hillary, there is a happy, energetic, influential girl named Hillary. THANKS LA BOXING
